I was born in Sophiatown during the apartheid years. Because of the group areas act that existed in South Africa at that time, my family was forcefully removed by the then government to Lenasia. A township juxtaposing Soweto the largest african township. I am presently living in Lenasia South, Johannesburg which is surrounded by several informal settlements. After basic schooling, where i was the proud recipient of numerous art awards, I later successfully spent the next 24 years as a commercial artist with experience in signage, silk screen printing, poster design etc. In 2006 I expanded my artistic talent to include painting in oils. Save for a few basic lessons i have had no formal training. My subject choices are generally ones that inspire me. I hope they will do likewise for u. I thank u for viewing my pieces.
