Jenny's work is characterised by bold, bright colours and is interpreted in a very 'larger than life' way. Using clean, vibrant colours is important in order to achieve a freshness in her paintings. Her background as a Graphic Designer is evident in her attention to detail, whilst her confident brushstrokes still manage to achieve an impressionistic quality to her work. In her latest works, which have been executed in acrylic on canvas, as well as charcoal on paper and canvas, she focuses on African portraits, particularly urban and tribal faces. She endeavours to capture energy and emotion in her subjects. She thrives on capturing the 'realness' of the man on the street, and the strength of tribal passion.
Jenny's flexibility and confidence as an experienced artist allows her to undertake any variety of commissioned work, and she enjoys the challenge of meeting her clients' specific requirements.
