Public Art Campaign by Art for Humanity - South African Art news
Art for Humanity initiated a public art campaign that consists of a collaboration of South African artists and poets to highlight the growing violence and abuse against women and children in South Africa. The campaign features over 21 billboards across South Africa including Ernestine White's "Fragile Cargo" screenprint. Other South African artists participating include Kim Berman, Diane Victor, Angela Buckland, Nomusa Makhuba and Judith Mason.
Art for Humanity was founded in 1988 and is a not-for-profit organization specializing in fine art print portfolios, art exhibitions, billboards and research projects advocating various human rights issues in South Africa.
