The inspiration for this portrait painting of Nelson Mandela
was a photo that I found of Nelson Mandela delivering a speech.
What drew me was the passion in his eyes expressing the conviction
of his words. Nelson Mandela is one of the most respected men
in the world and when Mandela speaks the world pay attention.
After handing down the presidency of South Africa, Nelson Mandela
has not settled in to a quite retired life which he richly deserves
but his valuable opinions and insights still contribute to the
resolution of issues facing the world today.
