Oppitafel at Artspace has become a must see on the calendar as every year a group exhibition is held where many artists are invited to produce something special for the show with the title of Oppitafel. Oppitafel refers to a table, or something on a table, etc and can be figurative or conceptual. This year the brief for Oppitafel has been for artists to produce something exciting for the Christmas table in the way of Christmas gifts.

Isithunzi as an exhibition showcases drawings, prints, collages, writing and video work. Each participant of the Isithunzi writing workshop wrote an artist statement based on respective works in the exhibition, expanding their personal narratives. The art will be showcased alongside these statements
